Recommended: God’s Philosophers by James Hannam

Recently I have read the book ‘God’s Philosophers: How the Medieval World Laid the Foundations of Modern Science’ by James Hannam. I found it a very enjoyable read, with a very timely message. Hannam tells stories about (natural) philosophers in the middle ages, and how the work they did prepares for the work of later scientists like Copernicus, Galileo, Kepler, and Newton.

For me, it was fascinating to learn how natural philosophy changed over time, through the lives of these thinkers that I had never heard off. Learning about them has really broadened my academic horizons. I wish you the same experience.

You can find ‘God’s Philosophers’ in the following web-shops.
