Graduation
Today, the day
that it all comes together
that we all come together
the people you have walked with
the people you have talked with
for very different lengths of time.
The things you’ve learnt
You’ll take into the future
Will they stand the test of time?
Some may wither, others fall,
But some shine endless, bright
Timeless as the speed of light.
The treasure you received
is not for hiding in the ground,
but has been planted, safe and sound,
so you can shoot up, grow, and bloom.
Grow and shine, even encircling gloom
Will not prevent you to grow on.
Find water, sun: grow on!
Be not undone, grow on and on!
And on, and on, and on, and on!
With this light and strength: begone!
